Wasp nest in loft

I went up to the loft for the first time in ages and found lots of what looks like wasp nests (hope they are not hornets). Do I need to get someone in to get rid of them? Or are there products I can buy to destroy them myself?

You could try the "bombs" that you can buy in Leroy Merlin and probably most hardware stores. You set them off and then make sure the doors/entrances are tightly closed and don't go up there for at least 24 hours.

We have used the pompiers to destroy a nest that we had in the roof one year, the service is not free, but I do no remember the cost being very high either - call them if your French is up to it
