Pets & Animals

Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your pets!

I am an author and editor who loves animals. I have raised both puppies and kittens (my grandfather was a veterinarian) and I enjoy their company. Until recently, I was the proud owner of a brilliant dog and a mischievous cat. They passed away within weeks of each other last summer due to complications of old age. If you are going away for spring break, or just for a weekend, please consider the option of "lending" your dog or cat to me. Now that the weather is warm, I'm longing to take long walks in the forest with a friendly dog or play on a sunny terrace with a fun-loving kitten. This is a free service.

I have a friend who is looking for someone to look after her kitten for a week. The kitten lives indoors (beautiful ragdoll) and my friend has the builders coming in for a week whilst she is out at work and is worried that they will just let her out. A kind home is the top priority, as she completely adores her kitten. . The kitten is almost adult now and housetrained etc and used to being indoors. She is a very affectionate animal. My friend lives to the north of Paris. One thing I would say, I think she would want her kitten to be the only animal with you during her stay as she isn't used to other animals (ie dogs). Let me know if this is of interest and I will pass on the information to my friend (who speaks quite good English).

Hello
I have a friend who has 2 cats. She needs someone to look after them for 3 weeks in August 2012. She has asked me but I have a little dog of my own and, although he is a very friendly little chap, I don't think her cats will like him very much! Please let me know if you are available during that time so that I can discuss the matter with her.
Thanks.

Hey there,

So sorry to hear about th loss of your furred ones.

We have 2 of them and we need to travel on an ad hoc basis together. We have a trip coming up from 24th October til 6 November and are looking for someone to look after the two monsters in our apartment in 16e in Paris.

Meet them:

Balou - a diabetic grouchy kitty we rescued. He takes a little time to warm to people but comes around. He needs two insulin shots per day.

Fred is our beloved JRT - full of beans but well behaved. He loves and needs his walks and ball time daily and since we live close to the Bois de Bolougne, it is a great space to let him do his thing.

Please feel free to contact us on 0617755932 to discuss how this might work or if you are interested. I know you mention free, but we will be paying for an in house sitter.

Cheers

Martin
