BBC Entertainment: Are you one of the very upset folk who subscribe to BBC Entertainment ? We pay to receive this commercial arm oif the BBC. Being ex.pats this channel was of such importance to boith us and the vast English speaking community all over Europe.
The most popular pprogramme by far screened by this channel was "Holby City". Enjoyed by millions of people, BBC Entertainment
for some rediculous reason axed the pogramme leaving many distraught people from here to the Middle East.

This may sound rediculous to some readers but, if you have to live abroad it's porogrammes such as these that begin to become a very important part of your life.

If you read BBC Entertainment's "comments" page, you will find pages & pages of really very upset people begging this company to reconsider their decision. Nothing but a cold shoulder from the BBC. Great service when you have to pay for. . I no longer will.

I wonder how much a satellite system is. It would solve the problem in that I could leave BBC Entertainment & choose what British programmes I wish to view.

I do hope I am not missing the point here, but why don't you just buy a freesat box attached to a satellite dish? We have just had a quote from a local company here to fix this up for us. Where we lived before in Normandy, we had the same set-up and could access all the main UK channels for free (no IPlayer though or 4oD). We have been told that it is not possible to buy an HD box here but we are looking to buy one on-line that can be used just the same. Hope this helps.
