Trains and modern art

egyptiandoll writes in General

Help. I have friends coming in for a week and their primary interests are trains and modern art. Is there a train museum or anything to do with trains that they can go see. Also, don't know the modern art museums in Paris. Thanks

Of course, you will excuse me for stating the obvious. The Museum of Modern Art:

Do remember that any over 60's get decent discounts from most, but not all, museums. If this is applicable proof of age will be required.
As far as trains are concerned, I cannot help, Gare du Nord perhaps :-)

Thanks for the info everyone. Now if only I can think of something to do with trains. They are coming in on the Thalys, I guess they could hang out at the train station and watch the trains coming in and out, lol.

No train musuem in Paris, I don't think, but the Musée d'Orsay is IN an ex-train station and is one of my favorites - if not quite "modern art"....
