Driven Crazy?
Few things can be more confusing - and potentially more dangerous - than the differences in motoring law between different countries. At this time of year there's always more vigilant traffic policing so it makes sense to be up to speed on the basic rules of the road in France: speed limits, blood alcohol limits and of course,
priorité ŕ droite.
Get the facts
The INFOrmation Page Driving in France details all the basic rules (driving age, licences, using a mobile), speed limits and the current position of speed radars and more.
One of the rules is that all cars on the road must be roadworthy: find out when and how to go about checking your car is legal to drive, see the INFOrmation Page on the Contrôle Technique vehicle test.
