Satellite TV Highlights

Make the most of your French satellite television system from Canal Satellite or TPS with our guide to VO TV.

Some English-language programmes are available on French terrestrial TV, but for a wide range of programmining in VO (version originale) you need satellite or cable TV.

Some of the satellite channels are only available to subscribers of CanalSatellite, others to subscribers of TPS, and some to both.

Programme Guides

  • Perhaps the best TV magazine for satellite programming is probably TéléCable Satellite
  • A good French TV magazine is Télé 7 Jours, which has a website here
  • If you have access to British satellite coverage provided by Sky Digital, then you can find a programme guide here.

 

(Terrestrial Canal+ subscribers should be aware that many programmes listed may be available only in French on their receivers - many films, in particular, are broadcast over satellite in a digital multi-language version - VM - and only appear in English to users of satellite systems.)
